Weekend

The word is the capital will be enjoying some sunshine this weekend, but cloudy or sunny there’s still tons of  cheap fun to be had.

=======

Get down to Trafalgar Square for A FREE day of Japanese culture.The Japan Matsuri festival is back for its 9th year with a fab mix of traditional dance, delicious food, ancient music and modern pop. Kids can learn a spot of origami, brush up on calligraphy or even snap a selfie in traditional costume. Think you’ve got a voice big enough to impress Simon Cowell? Prove it by singing some karaoke to the crowds.

Watch out for the brilliant taiko drummers on the main stage – always a highlight.

Sun 24th Sept, 10am – 8pm: Japan Matsuri 2017
Trafalgar Square, WC2N 5DN
FREE – just turn up. For more info click here

Charity Walk together to fight bowel cancerGet fit and do a good deed at Saturday’s family friendly Walk Together charity event. The five-mile sponsored stroll raises much needed cash for Bowel Cancer UK while also taking in some of the capital’s most breath-taking sights.

The £10 tour kicks off from Tower Bridge and snakes it way through St Katherine’s Docks, Canary Wharf and the Cutty Sark.

Online registration has closed but you can still turn up on the day and take part. Get there at 10am to register before walking begins at 11am. Our tip: comfortable shoes and a brolly!
