Here’s a weekend freebie that’s worth shouting about. On Saturday one cake company is giving away hundreds of FREE doughnuts.

It’s a sweetener (sorry!) to celebrate the opening of Aussie brand Doughnut Time’s latest heavenly hotspot in Notting Hill – and, for two hours, Londoners are invited to turn up and pick one.

The new store is right next door to that bookshop from the 1999 Hugh Grant rom-com, Notting Hill; a fact that hasn’t evaded the attention of the company’s chiefs. Chefs have teamed up with last year’s GBBO finalist, Steven Carter-Bailey, to create the limited edition Anna Scott (a rich chocolate Brownie dough) named after the film’s Julia Roberts character.

We’d guess, no extra persuading needed!
