If FREE beauty treatments appeal, hotfoot it to the east end this weekend where the Body Shop is laying on all sorts of fabulous complimentary goodies. Think mini facials, makeovers, massages and hair braiding.

The Celebrate She pop-up at the Truman Brewery is also hosting a ton of ticketed interesting talks for a tenner with speakers including Pixie Geldof, Scarlett Curtis and Fearne Cotton.

Sat 9th & Sun 10th March, 10am – 6.30pm/10am – 6pm: Celebrate She pop-up

Juliette of the Herbs is a filmed portrait of the colourful life and work of Juliette de Bairacli. She was a herbalist and a pioneer of holistic medicine with animals and for seventy years lived with gypsies learning from people who lived close to nature.

If the clips are anything to go by this is interesting stuff and she remains the inspiration for many modern day herbalists.

Sat 9th March, 1 – 3.30pm: Juliette of the Herbs
Moth Club, Hackney,  E9 6NU

Should you want to express some serious female solidarity get your trainers on and join Saturday’s march to end global violence against women.

Million Women Rise is a women and girls’ event only. Organisers request participants to wear something red to symbolise the blood shed at the hands of men across the world. It’s estimated one woman in four will be a victim of domestic violence in her lifetime.

Sat 9th March, meet 12.30pm at Duke St next to Selfridges: Million Women Rise
