It’s not the obvious time of year to take to the ice, but don’t let that put you off. After a £30 million investment from Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, Lee Valley Ice Centre is  opening its doors to the public with a brilliant launch offer: skating for only £1.

The Leyton centre is a world class facility with not just one, but two Olympic sized ice rinks plus a fully-equipped gym and fitness class studios –  all fitted with state of the art equipment.

Along with skating, opening day activities will range from a tour of the venue to an ice hockey display and a selection of taster fitness classes, from Group Cycle and Pilates to Power Pump.

The word is there will also be family-friendly entertainment, prizes and giveaways so perfect for entertaining kids on the cheap.

It should be a great day so to manage the expected high demand the centre’s requesting people register in advance, Don’t hang about if you want to be there!
