Forget corporate capitalism, Hendricks, the gin brand, is rolling out cucumber currency! So called because you’ll be able to swap the fruit for a refreshing gin and tonic.(Trust us, it is technically a fruit, but used as a veg.)

It’s all part of Hendrick’s very own World Cucumber Day. (Eccentric much?)

All you’ve got to do is pop down to one of their Cucumber Exchange booths in Covent Garden Piazza or Canary Wharf and collect a branded cucumber. You can then exchange it for a FREE ice-cold G and T in over 80 participating bars in London for a week..

Can’t make it down? Fret not – you can go online onto the Hendrick’s FB page  and collect a digital cucumber token and use that to collect your freebie instead.
