London is transforming into a giant bandstand and everyone’s invited!

The capital’s joining hundreds of other cities across the globe to celebrate the annual Make Music Day – and there’s going to be lots of FREE events across town.

Highlights include musical flashmobs in the City, a chance to learn how to play the mandolin in Westminster, a City Choir performance in Canary Wharf plus a club night at Fabric with deaf artists and female DJs.

But the flagship event is taking place at the Scoop after an evening carnival style procession. A FREE night of performances includes the Hip Hop Orchestra and the cast from Bat Out of Hell.

There’ll also be a chance to participate yourself, if you play a wind or brass instrument, as there’s going to be a mass play along of the MMD song, Bring Me Sunshine.

It all sounds a blast.

Morecombe and Wise sang Bring Me Sunshine at the close of every show
