There’s only a giant musical SOUNDpit on the Southbank

Soundpit

If you want to keep kids entertained – or join them in a state of childish wonder – take a trip to Southbank for the extraordinary Soundpit.

The immersive pop up at the Royal Festival Hall – created by artist Di Mainstone – consists of giant sandpits brought to life with specially installed lights and stunning graphics.

Visitors can create music by running your hand through the sand. Sit down, slide across the surface; whatever you do will create some funky tunes.

Little ones in this promo video describe it as creative, amazing and magical. A perfect outing on a rainy day during the Christmas holidays.

Now – Sun 23rd Feb 2020: Soundpit
Sessions at 10.15am, 11.15am, 12.15pm, 1.15pm, 2.15pm, 3.15pm and 4.15pm
