It’s nippy but we don’t care. The Christmas countdown continues and there’s loads on around the city we love. Here’s our favourite weekend jaunts.

This one’s for all you night owls out there; get your skates on down to Somerset House where they’re pulling an ice skating all nighter.

In fact, both the museum gallery and outdoor rink will be open until sunrise. Plus some lucky punters will find Golden Tickets tucked in their shoes when they return their skates with special Christmassy prizes to claim.

Sat 7th Dec, 11pm – 8am Sun (last entry 7am): Skate & Exhibition all nighter

For all you festive fanatics, make sure you make time for the Chelsea Christmas Shopping event for some fun freebies.

Highlights at Saturday’s event include FREE refreshments at J Crew Sloane Square, FREEBIE beers while you shop at JAM Industries King’s Road plus complimentary Christmas cards at Anya Hindmarch on Sloane Street.

You can also spot Santa, take in tunes from Borough Brass Band plus enjoy the twinkling Xmas lights. If you’re still after more, check out the FREE horse and carriage rides from Duke of York Square. The dream!

(And now for something completely different…) If the little ones want to unleash their inner Attenborough, head to the FREE Explore Zoology afternoon.
