Conkers

Autumn’s here but fret not friends, there’s still a wealth of stuff to do this weekend. Here’s our favourite spots to hit up this Saturday ad Sunday.

=====

If you’ve got a competitive streak – or just want to relive those long childhood afternoons – make straight for the 18th Hampstead Heath Conker Championships.

Sunday’s contest at Parliament Hill will be split in to five categories; under 5s, 5 – 7 years, 8 – 13 years, 14 – 17 years and 18s and over to see who’s crowned this year’s Conkermeister. Bring your own or you can pick one up there.

Sun 6th Oct, from 2.30pm: Conker Championships
Parliament Hill, Highgate Road, NW5 1RL

How about this one, brainiacs? Get up close and behind the scenes at UCL’s It’s All Academic Festival.

There’ll be loads going on including talks, tours, kids’ activities, screenings and performances. Top family-friendly highlights include mindfulness for children and a trail for young ones exploring Egyptian culture.

Everyone can also enjoy the UCL academics Vs UCL alumni fingers on buzzers quiz. All activities are FREE but book ahead.
